Erik Wood

Erik Wood is an accomplished architect, urban designer, and real estate strategist with over 25 years of experience shaping communities worldwide. A Yale and Columbia graduate, Erik has led major projects for clients including the Hudson River Park Conservancy, the Port of San Diego, and the State of Qatar. He served as Principal and New York Office Director of HKS, and earlier as a partner at Cooper Robertson and a leader at HOK in St. Louis. Today, Erik brings his expertise in planning and development to his role as Grant Writer and Program Manager at People’s Community Action Corporation (PCAC), helping revitalize low-income communities and support families across the St. Louis region. He has also been deeply involved with the Urban Land Institute, serving on fundraising and awards committees. Beyond his professional life, Erik is the nephew and literary executor of renowned author Henry Van Dyke, continuing a legacy of creativity and cultural stewardship.

Candace Kita

Asian American actress Candace Kita began acting at age 11 in South Pacific opposite Ruta Lee and studied across Europe, attending the American School in London and Antwerp International School. A classical flutist for 12 years, she was invited to perform with the Palm Beach Atlantic Symphony as a teen. Discovered at 16, she modeled for Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and more under Wilhelmina LA, while earning a BA in philosophy and contemporary religion. Fluent in ASL, she worked with deaf immigrants and was offered a full scholarship to Texas A&M for oceanography, which she declined to pursue entertainment. Kita starred in 40 episodes of FOX’s Masked Rider and appeared in Son of the Beach, Complete Savages, and films with Adam Sandler, Pamela Anderson, and Jennifer Garner. A passionate activist, she supports PETA, USO, and advocates for anti-stalking laws. She authored The Hottie Handbook, a women’s safety guide, and has been featured on CBS, CNN, and Inside Edition.
